About the Design
The 1958 Science Fiction epic “The Sinister Serpents of Saturn VI” is probably best known for it’s problematic ad campaign. A copywriter attempted to coin a term for a new genre of story telling using ‘And-Venture’, to conjoin the genre of ‘adventure’ with a preceding term (ie; ‘Action-And-Venture’, ‘Danger-And-Venture’). This was subsequently rejected, but the inspired typo still made it to the movie poster, and was not caught before they were distributed to theaters all over America.
